Shruti Haasan returns to Tamil cinema

Three years after pairing with Suriya in ‘7am Arivu’, actress Shruti Haasan is finally making her comeback to the industry she belongs to. The 27-year old has been paired opposite director ‘Singam’ Hari in a new film, which will go on floors during January next year.

The film is expected to hit the screens during Diwali next year and will be produced by Vishal Film Factory. Vishal is basking in the success of Pandiya Naadu, and is currently working on a project titled ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan’. He is expected to start shooting for the new project by early 2014.

Pandiya Naadu worked for Vishal because for the first time in his career he shed his action hero avatar and tried something against the grain and it worked in his favour. However, with director Hari, who is known for churning out commercial films, one wonders what will Vishal deliver to his fans.
