Take the case of South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) nominations for Best Actor. When we think of the best actors in the last year one of the immediate names that comes to our mind is that of Jr NTR. SIIMA has failed to even nominate it. It is understandable if he fails to win but to not even get nominated? On the other hand, Allu Arjun getting nominated in Best Actor category when the actor considers his role as Supporting Actor.

It is nominations like these that completely kill the audience interest and faith in awards. In this case angered fans even went on rampage on social networking sites trending #RipSiima. Their ire is felt justified though looking at the nominations. It’s high time the jury behind the nominations in these awards uses some brain while nominating, otherwise blunders like these would make their Awards look like joke.
