Skanda Replaces Salaar: Boya’s Jackpot!

Boyapati Sreenu and Ram Pothineni have come together for Skanda which is billed to be a proper action drama in Boya style. The film was initially announced for release on 15 September, but it is now all but confirmed to get postponed and for a good reason.

Skanda is vacating the 15 September slot and moving to 28 September slot that has been left open by Salaar.

There is a lot to look forward to with the 28 September slot as it has multiple prospects at the box office. First, 28 September is the Eid holiday, and then comes Friday.

30 Sep and 1 Oct are weekend holidays – Saturday and Sunday, followed by 2nd October which is a national holiday – Gandhi Jayanti.

This is a super long weekend and this is exactly the kind of stuff that dreams are made of for commercial films. If the word of mouth is good, then Skanda is in for a good run at the box office with so many prospective holidays.

Salaar vacating this ultra-prime slot has come in handy for Skanda which is all but confirmed to lock the 28 September slot. Will Boyapati and Ram make the most of this unexpected treaty slot that came their way? We shall wait and see.
