Small film release on Youtube: Kill piracy, Earn Big

Once in a while we hear the uproar to save small films. Nevertheless, all these cries are like shouting to deaf ears. Most of the small films get minimum number of theatres for release and hence the monetary gains of such films is also minimal. To put a check to these financial woes, Producer J.Satish Kumar of JSK Film Corporation has worked out a strategical release for his small films.

This producer is uploading his film on his Youtube channel and then also selling it on play store for reasonable price. Besides the theatrical release, this would fetch extra revenue for the movie instead of selling the rights to satellite channels which make most by telecasting the small movies and by also uploading full length movie on their Youtube channels. But the producer gets nothing for the revenue generated on Youtube channel.

Hence going for digital release might save the small producers because this would also allow kill piracy and also make the film available to audiences once the film is out of theatres after a particular run time. Mr.J. Sathish Kumar has recently uploaded a semi controversial film ‘Kadhal Kahai’ on Youtube and waiting for the result.
