Sridevi Blue Film, Director Shares His Experience

Once, one of RGV cousin’s friend bought a VHS cassette for Rs. 10,000 in Chennai, Burma Bazaar. It is said to be the blue film of the heroine Sridevi. Rs. 10,000 is a big amount in the 1980s’ for a blue film but the guy believed that it was indeed a blue film.

When he came back home and watched it doors closed, he found only MTV songs. Those were the days when people believed that heroines who work in films also did blue films. But, his cousin’s friend lost the logic that if there was a blue film made on Sridevi, it would have spread like a virus.

It was their innate desire to see the beautiful heroines in the most sensuous way that made people believe that actresses acted in blue films as well. RGV used to run a video parlor back then (when there was no internet and computers were very rare) in the 1980 s’ and people used to come to him asking for blue films taking the names of heroines.
