Sridevi knows how tough it’s to be step-mom

Sridevi, who is considered to be the timeless diva of Indian Cinema is all set for another Hindi film after her super successful and well appreciated comeback film ‘English Vinglish’. This time she is going to play step-mother for an eighteen year old girl and the story revolves around the stormy relation of a mother with her step-daughter.

Sridevi has played variety of roles in her career spanning more than 40 years. One can say, there is almost no character she hasn’t tried her hands at. So Boney Kapoor had to look out for an unusual role for her. He feels that the above said concept is the right one for her at this point of her career. Interestingly, her reel life’s role is having something synonymous to her real life.

As Sridevi is the second wife of Boney Kapoor, his son by his first wife is Sridevi’s step-son. Arjun Kapoor, Sridevi’s step-son is one of the most successful Bollywood hero among the younger lot. Though Sridevi never speaks anything openly about her step-son, Arjun always claims that for him she is only his father’s wife not his mother. Their strained relationship is implicit and the conflict is understood. Obviously Sridevi’s upcoming role would definitely be weighed on her personal equations with her step-son.
