Is Srikanth Odela Stuck in the Same Zone?

Making films rooted in Telangana is not new for Srikanth Odela. Dasara was set in the region, and The Paradise also carries a strong Telangana backdrop. Now, the buzz is that his next film will be an intense love story set during the Telangana agitation. If this turns out to be true, all three of his films will have Telangana as their backdrop.

Making films with Telangana nativity is not a problem, but doing three films in a row with the same regional flavour is something to watch. The stories may be different, but audiences will naturally look at how much they differ in their treatment and storytelling.

Srikanth Odela has found his space with Telangana-rooted stories, and there is no need for him to move away from it just for the sake of variety. But with his next film, it will be interesting to see whether he can bring a fresh approach while staying in the same setting.
