Siddhu Jonnalagadda is a happy man now as his recent outing, Tillu Square has reportedly collected in the range of Rs 100 crores, as publicized by the makers. But cut to now, there is an interesting discussion on the film that is going around and it has something to do with the Hindutva movement.
Incidentally, a couple of scenes from Tillu Square are going viral on social media and they are being given a religious touch by a section of netizens.
In these two scenes, Siddhu trolls the female lead Anupama Parameswaran who plays a Christian, and then mocks a Muslim character named Zubair Bhai. These scenes are being seen as the Hindutva batch on social media as satirical digs at non-Hindu groups.
In fact, Siddhu has been given the tag “Unapologetic Hindu Star Boy Siddhu” by the Hindutva groups.
The real intention of Siddhu and the director of the film might be to mock the characters only for cinematic comedy purposes, the Hindutva group on social media appears to be reading too much into this. But nevertheless, Siddhu and his Tillu Square are managing to spark a debate or two on social media.
