
When she bagged a big star film like ‘Soorarai Pottu’, the trade was curious to see if she can deliver with a star hero with the kind of sensibilities she prefers while dealing with a story. She could both handle the stardom of the hero who has got immense talent as a performer and also brought the best out of him without missing the balance.
She can play with raw emotions in a subtle manner not missing the intriguing and engaging part of the story. This is not only the film she delivered during this lockdown. She directed one of the stories ‘Ilamai Idho Idho’ of the recent anthology ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai’ that won her critical appreciation for the breezy love story she presented.
She has been going strong and seems to be making her presence felt ever since ‘Irudhi Sutru’ came in 2016 and ‘Guru’ in 2017. Taking almost 2 years gap for the next film shows how much she would have worked on the details of the film that is loosely based on the life of a real-life achiever.
