Sultry Siren Coming out of Cans After 23 Years

Sexy Seductress Silk Smitha set the screens on fire in the 90s with her dreamy eyes and seductive looks. Even though her filmography says she is an item dancer, she was the heartthrob of the youth back then. Silk Smitha’s life and sudden suicide is a point of interest for all. Bollywood has made a Biopic on her recently.

Now, Silk Smitha’s Tamil film Raaga Thaalangal, directed by Thirupathi Rajan, will see the light of the day soon. The film got stuck in the cans due to financial constraints as well as its controversial content on caste-based issues.

The makers are planning to release it with a different title and making a little change to the script. The film was actually completed in 1995 before Silk Smitha reportedly committed suicide in 1996. On the other side, Kabali and Kaala fame PA Ranjith is going to bankroll a web series based on her life.
