Sumoto case on RGV’s Savitri controversy?

For maverick direcotor RGV, controversies are nothing new. If his film turns out to be a clean one without any controversy then it should be a big surprise. Otherwise he is made for controversies. Latest he released the first look posters of his upcoming film ‘Savitri’. The posters are creating a lot of controversy because a tender age boy is shown observing the curves of his teacher Savitri. The boy is too tender and in different posters the boy is seen watching the teachers uncovered parts.. waist and legs.

He even released a press note for audiences for a contest ‘Mee savitri Evaru’. According to his press note, every guy has his first crush very early as he had his first crush on his English teacher Saraswati. He asked the audiences to share similar kind of crush they had on elderly women at a very tender age. If interesting, those experiences would be included in the movie. The posters and press note are in controversy now.

State Commission for Protection of Child Rights reacted on the controversy and has taken up the issue as Sumoto Case. In a sumoto case, no body needs to complain or register a case. The judge or commission takes up the case through his/her personal experience. Sumoto cases normally end up with conviction of the defaulter. Let’s wait and see what happens in the case of RGV.
