Superb TRP Ratings For Jathi Ratnalu!

Naveen Polishetty’s Jathi Ratnalu was a sleeper hit. Released in March, the comic caper minted moolah not only at the domestic market but at overseas markets too. It was the first Telugu film to hit the $1 Million mark in the US after the pandemic, and back home as per trade analysts, it made a whopping Rs 25 crores giving five times returns to the buyers. The film satellite rights were acquired by Gemini TV.

Recently, the film had its first telecast on Gemini TV on August 22. And akin to the blockbuster feat on the silver screen, it regaled on the small screen too by record TRP. On its first telecast itself, Jathi Ratnalu attained record 10.2 TRP ratings.

It is worth mentioning that after its one-month theatrical release it got streamed on Amazon Prime Video. And it got telecast on TV after five-month of release. Interestingly, after being watched in theaters and OTT as well, the film went on to score whopping TRP ratings.

What is more interesting is that Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu aired by the same channel has got only 11.4 Ratings for the curtain-raiser episode starring Ram Charan along with Jr NTR. Well, the ratings show the craze Jathi Ratnalu continues to score even now.

Starring Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna, Priyadarshi, and Faria Abdulla, it was Nag Ashwin’s first production venture. There are reports about Jathi Ratnalu sequel as well.
