A producer by the name Mukanchand Bothra filed a defamation case against the superstar as an answer to the allegation claiming that he had attempted to extort money from the superstar. This happened in 2015. That case was dismissed and now the revised defamation case is in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

Rajinikanth is out of the station, as of now. He flew to the United States for his regular health check up and he will be staying there for two weeks. Seems the producer had some financial tussle with Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja and it was alleged that the Superstar blamed Bothra for extorting money from him.
