Supriya Shields Chai Bisket Sharath

For the last couple of day, main producer at Chai Bisket, Sharath has been in the news for wrong reasons amidst reports that he threatened a YouTube reviewer for rating one of Chai Bisket’s films poorly.

Amidst the controversy, Sharath had deactivated his Twitter handle. Incidentally, he then took part in a press meet today for his Chai Bisket’s recent presentations, Boys Hostel.

However, there’s a catch here. Sharath wasn’t the one taking the questions like he usually does. It was Yarlagadda Supriya who took the questions.

When a media person asked Sharath about the incident where he threatened a media person, Supriya took the question.

“I’ll answer this for him. You see, films and media are interconnected. You(media) are the medium between us and the audience. Even when we make good film, media is the one that takes them to the audience. There’s no threatening here. There are times when even you threaten us” Supriya said.

Netizens are now commenting that Supriya’s comment is not in sync with the question about Sharath’s incident and they say she tried her best to downplay the whole noise surrounding the same.
