Suriya a Better Pan-India Material Than Vijay?

In the past, the Tamil industry used to produce much better and bigger movies compared to the Telugu industry, but that is all in the past.

Nowadays, Tollywood is miles ahead, and the ambitious nature of Telugu heroes, along with their age compared to Tamil senior stars Vijay and Ajith, makes the Tollywood industry appear much larger than Kollywood.

Tamil fans often express their disappointment for the lack of bigger pan-India projects. Finally, Suriya is coming up with ‘Kanguva’, which recently released its first teaser, showcasing its pan-India potential.

While Vijay may be a bigger star in Tamilnadu, Suriya enjoys goodwill in the two Telugu states and has better reach in the north compared to Vijay.

If ‘Kanguva‘ manages to click in other languages, Suriya could emerge as the first pan-India star from the Tamil industry. However, we have to wait and see if the film truly creates a buzz outside Tamil Nadu and that is possible only if future promotional material matches the initial hype.
