Suriya’s Anjaan cleared by Censor board

Tamil star Suriya’s Independence Day release Anjaan has been cleared by the Censor board. It has got a clean U certificate and is all set to hit the screens worldwide on August 15 in a grand manner. The makers of the film had to go to Mumbai to clear the censor formalities as the local board in Chennai was busy with many films in queue.

Coming to the Telugu version there is still no clarity over the release date of the film. Rumours about postponement were heard yesterday but nothing has been officially confirmed by anyone. The makers it seems are still eyeing the simultaneous release in both Telugu and Tamil. A delay for such a big film would surely effect the collections of the film where it released later as the word of mouth would be out by the time. All said and done it’s the call of the distributors locally on when to release the film. Let us see what decision they take.
