Suriya’s Bandobast Beating Valmiki In Home Turf

Two big films are going to hit screens on the upcoming Friday. The first one is Varun Tej’s starrer Valmiki, whereas the other is Bandobast starring Suriya.

As anyone can make out, the general buzz surrounding the Varun Tej starrer is higher than Bandobast. Various factors like the director Harish Shakar, it being a mass outing after a gap, and presence of happening beauty Pooja Hegde makes Valmiki the first choice among the two.

And still, in the biggest Nizam territory, Valmiki has literally half the screens of Bandobast. The former distributed by a fresh entrant has got less than a hundred screens as of now. Bandobast, on the other hand, with Dil Raju’s backing has got nearly two hundred screens already.

What’s more, a sizable chunk has been retained for Nani’s Gang Leader for its second-week run. It means the opening week numbers in Nizam are sure to be far lower than its actual capacity.

As they say, when it comes to business, people only care about their gains, first and foremost. Well, that’s the nature of the beast. It throws up surprises like these sometimes. It is so because, unless, there is an extraordinary word of mouth, anyone can guess the fate of the movie with the bigger release.
