SVSC beats Bollywood’s MKBKM

The success of any movie is determined by its figures at the box office. In this context, the reports about the latest films launched are as follows.

Reportedly, Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (MKBKM) has obtained a dull response at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend. The cause behind this seems to be the various Telugu films Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC), Naayak, Tamil movies Alex Pandian (AP), Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (KLTA) and Punjabi film Saadi Love Story (SLS) which has major markets in USA, UK and Australia.

According to trade analysts, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has collected a revenue of Rs 1.85 crores ($3,38,726) from 113 screens at the USA Box Office in the first weekend, thus landing in the third place with Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which topped the USA collection chart on its first weekend with a total revenue of Rs 6.87 crores ($12,62,100) from 69 screens. On the other hand, Naayak has landed in the second spot USA business chart with its opening weekend total Rs 2.11 crores ($3,87,808) on 54 screens.
