T20 Cricket Match in Rama Linga Raju’s jail!

20-20 matches are the flavour of the season with the IPL happening right now in the country. A T20 Cricket match was organized for the first time ever at the biggest jail in Telangana (Cherlapally jail). The teams competing for the honours were the Central Prison, Warangal and Central Prison, Cherlapalli.

Prisoners cheered for both the sides with out any inhibitions and just enjoyed the game. The end result was that the Warangal central jail team triumphed lifting the T20 cricket cup. Interestingly, Rama Linga Raju and other convicts of Satyam scam were also stationed in the same jail.

However Mr.Raju seem to be not interested in the match and he stayed put in his barrack. The first T20 match in an Indian jail was played in Tihar Jail in January last year. Jail no. 3 had lifted the trophy which was attended by cricketer Gautam Gambhir.
