The Tamil industry is going through the worst phase right now. While the Malayalam industry is doing best in the country, the Tamil industry is witnessing its lowest point as big-budget star-studded films are also falling like a pack of cards.
Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam, Dhanush’s Captain Miller, Siva Karthikeyan’s Ayalaan, Vishal’s Rathnam, and many more, all turned out to be box-office disasters. The industry and theaters were relying on dubbed films for survival.
This week has turned out to be a small relief for the Tamil industry as Tamannaah’s Aranmanai 4 (Baak in Telugu) is doing decent business.
Aranmanai 4 has garnered average to decent reviews, with particular acclaim for Tamannaah’s performance. Audiences have praised the film’s visual effects, computer graphics, and technical aspects, though some have criticized the inclusion of unnecessary comedy scenes.
The film started slowly on its first day but the second day picked up. The two-day collection of Aranmanai 4 stands at 10 crores gross which is not great but not bad either. The trade expects the collections to get further boosted on Sunday.
The film is doing well in its Telugu version as well. It was expected to be a washout in Telugu but it looks like it is not the case.
The first two parts of Aranmanai turned out to be blockbusters, the third part was an average fare. The fourth one also seems to be heading towards success.
