Tamannaah Bhatia has made a huge impression on everyone with her different look and avatar as Naga Sadhvi in Odela 2. The highly anticipated sequel to successful Odela Railway Station, is gearing up for a wide release on 17th April, all over. Ashok Teja directed the film with Madhu producing it on a high budget. Sampath Nandi has written screenplay, dialogues and supervised the project.
Trade experts are in shock looking at the kind of pre-release business the movie has managed to secure in these tough times. Even for big star films, the non-theatrical and theatrical rights business has been dull and low budget, medium budget films are releasing in losses. But Odela 2 makers have entered into profit zone with whopping Rs.28 crores pre-biz.
The movie’s Telugu states and Overseas theatrical rights have been sold to Shankar Pictures and Suresh Reddy Kovvuri to a phenomenal Rs.10 crores while non-theatrical rights, excluding Satellite rights, have been sold at Rs.18 crores. This is phenomenal and ground breaking for any film starring a lady star heroine like Tamannaah Bhatia in lead role.
The promising teaser, premise and craze of Tamannaah coupled with the brand value of Sampath Nandi has resulted in makers completing such a huge business. Even the area wise disturbtion rights are being sold on Minimum Guarantee basis and this shows the amount of trust the movie has been able to acquire.
Now, the makers are conducting another milestone promotional activity for any Telugu film by releasing the Telugu and Hindi trailers at Gaiety Galaxy theatre in Mumbai, on 8th April.
