Taxiwala Gets Free Ride

Like most of the other weeks that doesn’t involve a biggie, there were multiple releases on Friday. Leading the pack was 24 Kisses. Unfortunately, neither 24 Kisses nor anything else made any mark at the box office.

The openings of all the new releases were poor. It has meant that the holdover release Taxiwala starring Vijay Deverakonda gets a free ride for another week until 2.0 arrives. That was what was expected initially too, but there is always a threat due to new movies. Luckily, that wasn’t the case here.

Taxiwala in its first week has collected nearly 18 Cr share worldwide. It will easily surpass the 20 Cr mark by the time it closes and will emerge as another all-around success for Vijay Deverakonda. It will be his fourth such movie as a solo hero and fifth including a supporting act, in a very short span of time.
