Teaser Talk: Mr Majnu In The Right Direction

Now, this is one surprise even Akkineni fans weren’t probably prepared for. While everyone expected the first look of Akhil from Akhil 3, the makers have come up with a title and teaser. If this doesn’t thrill the fans, we don’t know what would?

Coming to the teaser, finally, Akhil is in the right direction. It should have been his first and then followed it up with Hello, and after building some reputation as a star, Akhil would have been fine. Now, it is a reverse approach, and we know that Akhi suits rom-com space, Mr Majnu looks like an excellent follow-up.

The playboy trope has been tried by all-star heroes early in the career. So, it’s nothing new. The title gives a forced vibe as Majnu has already been taken. The hairstyle too would take time to get used to even for fans. All of these don’t matter in the actual movie if the content is fresh and appealing to the target audience. Venky Atluri made a promising debut with Tholi Prema, here’s hoping he continues with the second attempt as well.
