Telugu Dostana actors Chai and Rana as gays?

Dostana is a superhit Bollywood film which was made on gay concept. Abhishek Bachan and John Abraham played the main lead for the film in which they act as gays to get a rented flat in the heroine’s house. The movie went on to become a block buster hit and apparently laid stone for many movies to follow with gay concept.

Even in Telugu films, we see gay concept used not only by comedians but also by heroes. Nani’s gay episodes in ‘Alaa Modalayyindi’ were hilarious and very well received by audience. The flight episode of ‘Manam’ when Nag meets Chaitu also had gay shades. Ram played a full length gay character in ‘Masala’. A bold move indeed!

In the telly chat show ”Konchem Touch lo Vunte Chepta’ aired on 4th October evening, host Pradeep asked Naga Chaitanya which two male actors would suit to act in Dostana if remade in Telugu. To avoid controversy by taking names of other actors, Chaitu acted a bit diplomatic and replied that ‘He and Rana’ would be apt to act in Dostana. All through the episode, Chaitu was at ease and seemed to be enjoying the show.

One question he chose not to answer is about his directors. When Pradeep asked him, “If there is any director that Chaitu felt who isn’t really a director material?” This question he warded away indicating that there is one amongst his directors who he feels the person isn’t director material. Well, isn’t this enough to spark speculations on who the director is? What say?
