Telugu industry not interested in 100 yrs fete

Lot of uncertainty seems to be revolving around the celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema slated to take place in Chennai from Sep 21 to Sep 24. It is being reported that stars from Telugu are unlikely to perform at the event as most actors have not confirmed their presence yet for the event.

While senior actors such as Nagarjuna and Venkatesh have confirmed their presence, younger actors such as Ram Charan, Junior NTR and Mahesh Babu are yet to confirm their presence. The organizers are not sure if these actors will turn up for the events. If they plan to do, then they have to confirm their presence as early as possible.

Meanwhile, there seems to be cold war between ANR and Dasari over the organizing committee’s decision to host a special birthday party for ANR on the opening day of the event. ANR turns 90 on Sep 20, and the organizers felt it would make sense to celebrate his birthday. However, the idea has not gone down too well with Dasari, who claims that event is to celebrate the achievement of Indian cinema, but not one person.
