Raja Saab Challenge: Thaman Faces Chikiri Chikiri Heat

AR Rahman recently faced a wave of underwhelming feedback, and even heavy backlash, for a couple of his films, their background scores and songs. There was skepticism when he was roped in for Ram Charan’s Peddi, but the first song itself proved the doubts wrong. Chikiri Chikiri has become a sensation, not just among Telugu audiences but from North India as well, with the Hindi version also gaining unstoppable popularity.

Meanwhile, Thaman is gearing up to deliver the first song for Prabhas Maruthi’s The Raja Saab. The first song track The Raja Saab will be out soon. The bigger question is, will it make an impact? Given the commercial setup of The Raja Saab, the songs have strong potential, unlike some of Prabhas’ recent films.

Ram Charan’s Peddi’s Chikiri Chikiri song has set a high benchmark for commercial star hero films. A. R. Rahman raised the bar even higher with this track.

The question now is whether Thaman can match that level. Will he deliver a banger or not? These days, anything ordinary doesn’t work -either a song becomes a massive hit that sparks a flood of reels, or it fails. We’ll have to wait and see.
