That ‘One’ Film Cost Him a Career?

The hero turned director, Rahul Ravindran gave a blast with his debut, Chi La Sow in terms of the content and scored as a director with just one film. His last outing, 2nd project as a director was the one with Nagarjuna titled Manmadhudu 2 which came out with great expectations only to disappoint everybody. Now, there is no news about his future plans whatsoever.

It didn’t take much time for Rahul to get the next project after Chi La Sow, that too a big hero’s project but after its disastrous outing, that too without his mistake he is nowhere to see. We have seen Rahul confessing before the release of Manmadhudu 2 how Nagarjuna wanted everything to his satisfaction and how he forced a french remake on the director. So, it was not all Rahul’s fault but it looks like that one film put his career at stake.

In a way, he would have been at a different level if it was not for Manmadhudu 2. He proved his worth with Chi La Sow and hopefully, he will come back with a decent concept to prove his mettle. Though it is unfair to blame him for Manmadhudu 2 result, that’s how the industry works. Unfortunately, the director takes the loss. Hope it won’t cost him his career. Let’s see.
