The Family Man 2: A Conspiracy Against PM Modi?

Amazon Prime Video’s The Family Man 2 is out and is greeted to a good response. Ever since the release of the trailer, the web series is at the center of controversies as Tamil people allege that it is an attempt to show the struggle of Tamilians in Srilanka in a bad light.

Even Tamil Nadu Government has written to the Central Government to ban it but nothing has happened. Now, a section of BJP supporters is offended by the web series. In the web series, a woman called Basu is showcased as the Prime Minister. Basu is a Bengali name and she looks a bit like Mamatha Banarjee, they claim.

“This is a conspiracy to thrust Mamatha Banerjee as the next Prime Minister over Narendra Modi. The makers are indirectly pushing their anti-Modi agenda,” they claim. However, the fact is that much of the web series shooting has been completed even before the fallout of Modi and Mamatha.

Moreover, the conscience of The Indian public may not be so weak to be influenced by a web series!
