Theater Owners Suffer Between Pawan Kalyan and Jagan Govt

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan‘s Vakeel Saab released today, among huge expectations. The film is Pawan’s first release in 3 years, and fans are very excited to watch his film in the theatres.

In Andhra Pradesh, however, things are not so good for Pawan’s fans. The Andhra Pradesh government has cancelled all the special shows of Vakeel Saab overnight. The government also did not give permission for a hike in ticket prices, and given that the movie was bought at huge rates, it will be difficult for theatre owners to recover their investment without a hike in ticket prices.

Theatre owners have also been affected by protests from Pawan’s fans, at various theatres in Andhra Pradesh. Theatre glasses have been broken, resulting in a huge loss for theatre owners once again. A theatre in Tirupati, was affected a lot, with continuous protests by Pawan’s fans, who pelted stones continuously at the theatre’s glasses, causing them to shatter. Not just in Tirupati, but protests have been going on at various theatres all over Andhra Pradesh.

On the whole, theatre owners are facing huge losses, while stuck in between AP government and PK fans.
