
One much-awaited film which marks the debut of star Tamil hero, Vijay Sethupathi in Hindi is Mumbaikar. The latest news from the market is that this film is going to skip its theatrical release and will go the OTT way. It will be out on Netflix soon.
Mumbaikar is directed by the ace cameraman Santhosh Shivan and also has award-winning actor Vikrant Massey in another lead role. He is super kicked about this film and says that shooting with the likes of Vijay Sethupathi has been a learning experience.
Vikrant says “even after being so successful, Vijay works so hard on his role and performs to the best of his capabilities”. On the other hand, Lal Singh Chadha was supposed to be Vijay Sethupathi’s Hindi debut but he was replaced by Chay Akkineni at the last minute.
For those who do not know, Mumbaikar is the official remake of the Tamil hit Maanagaram. Netflix has made a handsome deal with the makers and will announce its release date officially.
