This Rumor About Samantha Makes No Sense

Samantha has announced two films after the divorce with Naga Chaitanya. Both the films are bilingual projects and are going to be helmed by Tamil directors. Meanwhile, there are reports that Samantha has hiked her remuneration after the divorce and is demanding as much as 3 Crore Rupees now.

But sources say that it is not true. “Both the films Samantha has announced recently were signed even before the divorce. There is no question of increasing remuneration after divorce. No other project of her after divorce has gone to the extent of Remuneration discussions,” the source told us.

“From the last few years, Samantha is charging her remuneration according to the projects. She is a clever girl who knows unreasonable demands are risky at this stage of career. Increasing remuneration while she is making a comeback of sort does not make any sense,” the source added.

But then, how did these rumors surface? Samantha will be next seen in Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam and Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. She will start shooting for one of the two recently announced bilingual projects later this month.
