Three Directors Steered HHVM to Theatres

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, has finally made it to theatres—but not without a long and complex production journey involving three different directors. Originally helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film was launched with high expectations. However, Krish eventually stepped away from the project for undisclosed reasons, leaving many fans disappointed and curious about the film’s future.

After Krish’s exit, producer A.M. Ratnam’s son Jyothi Krishna took over the direction and completed most of the film. His contributions are central to the version that audiences are now seeing on the big screen. Despite the effort, the final product shows signs of an uneven narrative, often attributed to the shift in creative leadership.

Adding another layer to the story, celebrated filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas also contributed behind the scenes. According to Jyothi Krishna, Trivikram provided guidance at several crucial stages without any official credit or compensation. His support was acknowledged with a special thank-you message in the film’s credits, a nod to his personal bond with Pawan Kalyan.

It is rare for a mainstream star-driven film to have three directors shaping it at different points. Ironically, despite the collective talent involved, Hari Hara Veera Mallu failed to deliver a consistent or impactful cinematic experience. While the film finally reached theatres, the journey behind it remains far more dramatic than what unfolded onscreen.
