Thursdays Are The New Friday – Watch Out Moviegoers

Friday’s are usually when a movie hits the theatres unless there is a holiday during the week. Then, the film hits screens depending on the day the festival or holiday arrives. In that case, we have had a release on each day of the week, if we go back in time.

However, in what looks like the first time, Telugu film industry is going to witness the release of films back to back on Thursdays. It starts from Shailaja Reddy Alludu and U Turn on September 13. It will be followed by Saamy Telugu, Devadas and Nawab on Thursdays. It doesn’t end there if we go by the tentative release dates of other movies like NOTA, Aravinda Sametha and Hello Guru Prema Kosame. They are all Thursday releases.

That’s almost six continues weeks of Thursday releases. Will this trend gain momentum going forward as well? That needs to be seen right now many of these movies have a holiday advantage to take with Thursday opening.
