Audience Clear On Ticket Hike, Tollywood Must Learn?

The Telugu audience are some of the most receptive folk in India, and that is the reason why every other language film deliberately pushes to have a substantive presence in the Telugu market as it can contribute significant revenue.

But it appears that certain Telugu films are itself missing the indications that are being given by the Telugu audience in terms of ticket pricing.

The audience have made it very clear that nominal ticket pricing without elevated hikes is the way to move forward as this is the preferred choice for the middle class audience as well.

This hard work brilliantly in the case of Irumudi, and partially for Ranabaali too. The Vijay Deverakonda film had a fighting chance at the ticket counters due to the non elevated prices.

It is becoming extremely clear that the audience are looking to turn up to theatres in big numbers when the ticket prices are kept at ordinary levels. This is the way forward for Non Rajamouli or Non Prashanth Neel films, essentially non big scale films it needs to be said.

But yet, we are witnessing certain films crossing this line and going for elevated prices which is reflecting poorly in terms of advance bookings. It can perhaps be argued that it is time for Tollywood to learn the preference choices of the audience and act accordingly.
