
The High Court has taken the petition into consideration and asked the government to file an affidavit about the implementation of Ticket Rates G.O. Natti Kumar has informed the court that the G.O. 35 is a boon to the small films but is not implemented in letter and spirit.
He brought to the notice of the court that theater owners are selling tickets illegally at higher rates causing loss to the audience and the Government (in the form of Taxes). The court has posted the next hearing of the case to after four weeks. It has to be seen what stance Government takes on this issue.
It looks like the lack of unity in the industry is likely to threaten the interests of the industry as a whole!
