Tollywood To Take on Bollywood on the Latter’s Familiar Turf

It has been a while Telugu film industry has explored the genre of patriotism. We have Rana‘s Ghazi in 2017 which is more like a Hindi film dubbed into Telugu. Now, two films of the same genre are being made in Telugu on a large canvas. Adivi Sesh has been making Major – the Biopic of 26/11 Hero, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is bankrolling the film which is made as a Pan-India Project. Now, one more such film is on anvil from Sukumar. The Creative Director will be teaming up with Vijay Deverakonda for his next project after Pushpa. The director reportedly came up with a highly emotional action drama in the backdrop of Partition and India – Pakistan war.

The happening hero will be seen as a Jawaan who vows to give his life for the country. The movie will start rolling towards the end of 2021 or early 2022. This is going to be another Pan-India film. Bollywood has been making films on the backdrop of Terrorism, Wars, and Patriotism for quite a while now.

So, Tollywood is going to challenge Bollywood in the latter’s very familiar turf. There is a chance of these subjects being ‘familiar’ for the audience there. But then, both these projects have some sensible minds behind them and so, it is a good chance to make good films and impress the pan-India audience.
