US BO: Dull Weekend And Weeks Ahead

After a long period of decent to very good performing movies at the US box office, finally there looks to be a dull phase ahead until something surprising shows up.

Two films, Pantham and Tej I Love You, hit screens this week. The combined business of both is not going to cross $150k. It is that poor. And the upcoming weeks too don’t look any better. There will be some films with known names like Lovers, Happy Wedding and Saakshyam, but none seem appealing to the US market.

Goodachari arriving next month might be the next big deal in the US. It is already carrying bigger buzz courtesy it’s teaser. Apart from that, there are a few more films starring actors who attract an audience in the US.
