The Tollywood box office in the USA saw two new theatrical debuts today with the arrival of Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo.
In a positive development for everyone involved, both the films got off to a positive start at the USA box office.
The premieres collections of the two new theatrical biggies are as follows.
Leo $1,799,075
Bhagavath Kesari $506,300
Leo(Tamil and Telugu) did a shade under $1.8 million and Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari managed a little over $500K from the premieres. This is a steadily positive start for the films.
With Bhagavanth Kesari, Balakrishna looks set to score another $1 million film after Akhanda and Veera Simha Reddy. If the opening weekend scores positively, $1 million feat should be a done case.
As for Leo, the film was always bound to start well at the box office domestically and internationally, given the combination hype. The same has happened with a mega $1.8 million premiere tally. The film has gotten off to one of the brightest starts for an Indian film in USA in recent times.
