1 Akhil
Akhil has completed over five years in the industry, and he is yet to score a hit at the box office. With such a track record, when a film in the GA2 Pictures banner was announced, it looked like the perfect vehicle to restart his sagging career. It is now over two years, and it isn’t going to arrive anytime soon. The first and second wave of the corona has pushed Most Eligible Bachelor’s arrival indefinitely.
The long delays have taken away the sheen from Most Eligible Bachelor. It doesn’t help that the fans have a more exciting project to look at from Akhil (Agent), which further diminishes its prospects.
2 Nani
Nani is a case of lightning striking twice. He first had his most hyped V miss a theatrical release, and now when it looked a solid comeback is on the cards, Tuck Jagadish too is delayed. The buzz of the OTT release again does no good.
What is further terrible is Nani’s film Shyam Singha Roy couldn’t complete its shoot due to unexpected external reasons. Its completion would have been a relief for Nani, no doubt, but now it adds to the problem.
The bottom-line here is having the most hyped films of the career miss the theatrical release on time. It has happened twice for Nani. The next ‘theatrical release’ Ante Sundaraniki doesn’t give the ‘mass opening’ vibe, which V and Tuck Jagadish saw.
3 Koratala Siva
The talented director Koratala Siva features on the list simply because of the wasted time. His last release was in the summer of 2018. That’s three years already, and it looks like it will take more time for Acharya to hit the cinemas. However, he has the opportunity to make up for it if he releases in next on time as promised. But, so far, none of his films has met the deadline in his career.
