Toxic: Why Are Samosa Critics Silent On Yash’s Film?

Toxic is finally out now in theatres. The content has clearly disappointed the audiences and critics. The response can be spotted in the public reaction videos and social media posts. However, the biggest question that is being raised right now is why the paid critics are not reviewing the film.

Also referred to as Samosa critics on social media, most of them have avoided sharing their opinion about the film. A few also openly claimed online that they will not review the movie. But none of them shared the reasons behind their respective decisions.

Although their reviews are not available, they have addressed how others are reacting to the content for now. As mentioned, the reviews for the film are very poor and negative. It has clearly been proven for now that if the paid critics are giving a negative review, it means that they did not get any money from the team.

Netizens are now asking whether the Samosa critics have been told by the makers not to share anything negative about the film and that they have even received a large sum of payment for the same.

For the unversed, the concept of Samosa critics has been common in the Hindi market. This is specifically because every big superstar is now aiming to release their films on a pan-India level, including in Hindi. In that case, the response and collections in the North Indian market easily become a topic of discussion every time.

Social media users even alleged that Toxic is expected to expose the faces of the Samosa critics who have hidden themselves from the spotlight for all this time. On the other hand, a few also stated that the strategy of the makers to use Samosa critics might not have worked because, for those critics, possibly there is nothing good at all in the film that they want to discuss.

Netizens wrote that even if the strategy of the producers had been successful, the final verdict is decided by the audience, and it is clear for now that Toxic might not work as big as expected.

Toxic has arrived on an extended weekend, which usually brings benefits for a movie if the content is up to the mark. Considering the reviews that are coming in right now, it might be impossible for the film to survive in theatres for a long time. Let’s see if a miracle will happen in any manner.
