Two Female Stories In Rajamouli’s Mind

SS Rajamouli is one of the most celebrated filmmakers in Indian cinema now. He showed Baahubali duology is no one time wonder by delivering another box office winner with RRR. All his forthcoming projects are to be made on a large canvas. But Rajamouli has dropped a hint about female-centric films in his mind.

“I do have a couple of female-centric storylines in my mind. I don’t know when, or if these will materialize,” Rajamouli said.

Adding further, Rajamouli says “I have a story idea that revolves around Rani Abbakka who is from Kerala-Karnataka region. She was a folklore hero in the area but not many of us know about it. There are enough heroics in her life. Then there is a psychological thriller that my friend pitched to me. I am excited about the idea.”

However, given that Rajamouli’s forthcoming projects are all but certain to register astronomical business, the chances of him working on a female-oriented film, which naturally has business limitations are low, at least for now.

Rajamouli will be collaborating with Mahesh Babu for his next project and this project is likely to start rolling next year.
