Unmarried Actress Take on Casting Couch

Yesteryear audiences remember Sitara as ‘Manasu Mamatha’ actress who has an innocent face and emoted well with her large eyes. She never did any glamorous roles and gradually converted to a character artist with the growing age. Can you guess her take on casting couch?

In a recent interview, Sitara said that she never faced or has come across casting couch in the industry. It was very simple for her. If any filmmaker wanted her for a role, he/she called her on the phone and asked her if she was interested and when everything was okay she just gave her nod. She didn’t want to comment as she was naive to the casting couch issue in the industry.

When we look at the kind of roles she played in films aka the recent one in ‘Happy Wedding’ was really good, it’s hard to believe if anybody had approached the senior actress with a nonsensical and bullish idea to sexually exploit her. Coming to her personal life, she is still unmarried and said that it didn’t happen. As simple as that.
