Unusual Release Picked For Exciting Project

The biopic of Legendary actress Savitri, Mahanati is one of the eagerly awaited movies of the summer. The Nag Ashwin directorial was previously slated to have a March end release, but now it has picked up a new date which looks pretty unusual.

Mahanati, according to the unit will arrive on May 9th. It is out of the blue because the makers have opted for a mid-week release on a regular weekday. Agreed it is summer holidays, but still one would expect a regular Friday release generally. The only positive aspect here is a Tuesday premiere in the US, and maybe that’s what the makers are targeting?

Keerthy Suresh plays the titular role of Savitri in Mahanati. Samantha, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquar Salman, Mohan Babu, director Krish play important roles in the biopic. Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a special appearance.
