US BO: – Akhil Akkineni Smiles!

Akhil Akkineni seems to be having a smile at last. His current release, Most Eligible Bachelor is doing well at the box office in the first week of its release. Akhil who is waiting for the first hit of his career already bagged a hit in the United States.

His last film, Hello, ended up as a One Million Dollar gross movie there. Now, Most Eligible Bachelor is also going to be a hit. As per the latest updates, the movie has crossed the $350K mark on Saturday at the US Box Office (At 10 pm PST on Saturday in USA, MEB has collected $123,277 from 171 locations and 25 more locations are yet to be reported)..

It is now the fourth biggest Telugu movie of the year in the US crossing Rang De Collections. The movie is already a breakeven for the distributors and will be targeting half a million dollars club from here. Most Eligible Bachelor is only the third hit for Tollywood at the US Box Office. So far, Jathi Ratnalu and Love Story are the only profitable ventures for Tollywood in the US.

Situations are looking rosy for breakeven in the domestic markets as well. However, it has to be seen how the movie holds from tomorrow (Monday). But then, the movie will be benefitted by a Public holiday on Tuesday due to Milad-Un-Nabi.
