US BO: Brand Babu Beat Pawan’s Bhakt

Among this Friday releases, ‘Goodachari’, ‘Chi La Sow’ and ‘Brand Babu’; the last one remained a non-starter both in India and in the overseas. Only one person watched the film and so the film collected only $10 in the US. That means this Maruthi backed crape is a total washout in the recent times.

Though the movie was released in a handful of theatres, it could draw only one person to the theatre. Such a low number wasn’t the first time though. Pawan Kalyan self-proclaimed die-hard fan Shakalaka Shankar’s ‘Shambo Shankara’ also met with the same fate at the US box-office.

It was released in two locations and only 8 persons watched the movie during the weekend despite the fact that the Jabardast comedian turned hero promoted the movie trying to lure Pawan Kalyan’s fans with his overdose of Pawan Bhajana. He did all he could, but couldn’t lure PK’s fans to theatres to watch his film. Now, ‘Brand Babu‘ has beaten ‘Shambo Shakara’ joining the list of total washouts in the recent times.
