Bunch of Websites Banned for Good

Half-a-dozen Tamil websites that are providing the links of pirated copies of the newly released movies in Tamil Nadu are now suspended by the Anti Piracy Cell of Tamil Film Producers Council in the wake of releasing pirated copies of new releases Vishal’s ‘Sandakozhi 2‘ and Dhanush’s ‘Vada Chennai’.

Despite many efforts and threats, those websites didn’t pay heed to the law against piracy and kept on releasing the pirated copies on the first day of the release itself. TFPC released the list of websites that were suspended by it’s anti-piracy wing. Vishal has been fighting against those pirate websites but they always found a new way to escape.

This suspension may not lead to complete eradication of piracy as there is a chance to create a new domain by the pirates and make a come back. As long as there are people who download and watch the pirated movies, there would be a few websites that would like to exploit this weakness. Let’s see if suspending the accounts of tamil rockers and five others will help curb piracy.
