The ability of the talented filmmaker to somehow convince big stars to work with him is on display here. He has made it a habit to convince top stars to work with him, without too much prior talk about this in media.

At the end of the day, Vamsi is a satisfactory filmmaker, who can make a visually rich film that caters to fans. The ability is not the question here. But the tenacity to remain calm, even without a project at hand and then come up with an explosive announcement with a top stars is the difference here.
