Several rumours made headlines about hero Vishal’s closeness with actress Varalakshmi, the daughter of senior actor Sarathkumar, from his first marriage. They were in love but the doting father didn’t give consent for their marriage. This is cited as the reason for the tiff between Sarathkumar and Vishal.

Clarifying on the rumours, Vishal said that he isn’t that wicked to take revenge on a father using a girl as an excuse. Vishal clearly stated that his differences are only regarding his Presidentship tenure for Nadigar Sangham. Coming to the relationship with Varalakshmi, Vishal says she is a childhood friend who is very close to him.

He went ahead to clarify that Varalakshmi is so close that she will remain in his heart, till his death. In fact, Varalakshmi is very important to him after his father, mother, brother and sister. That speaks a lot about how much Varalakshmi means to him despite the professional rivalry with her father.
