Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi synopsis surfaces online
SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi is one of the most closely guarded Indian films. The makers have maintained tight secrecy around the project and have not revealed a single update about the film’s actual story, keeping fans in constant surprise mode. Now, an interesting synopsis of the film has surfaced online.
Sky-Blu Cinematix, the official brand partner of Varanasi, has now shared a synopsis of the film on its official page, offering an interesting glimpse into the storyline.
According to Sky-Blu Cinematix “the story is set in 2027, when the world faces an existential crisis as a massive asteroid named Shambhavi heads towards the holy city of Varanasi. A rugged archaeologist and explorer, Rudhra (Mahesh Babu), is recruited for a high-stakes, globetrotting mission to recover an ancient cosmic artifact, joined by Mandakini (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), a fierce historian and skilled marksman.”
“Their quest becomes a high-tech sci-fi thriller racing across the jungles of Africa, the icy wastes of Antarctica and the landscapes of Europe pursued by the tech-genius villain Kumbha (Prithviraj Sukumaran). The key to stopping a future catastrophe lies hidden within the city’s mythical past.”
Given Rajamouli’s track record of keeping major story twists secret, there could still be plenty of surprises in store. However, we have to wait and see how much of this synopsis will actually make it to the final film.
