Mahesh Babu’s Absence: Rajamouli Rule or Something Else?

Mahesh Babu shares support through video

Just a day after reports claimed that Mahesh Babu might skip the pre-release event of Srinivasa Mangapuram, the Superstar extended his support to the film through a special video message.

In the video, Mahesh Babu said the entire Ghattamaneni family is eagerly waiting for Jayakrishna’s debut. Mahesh also praised debutants Jayakrishna and Rasha Thadani, appreciated director Ajay Bhupathi for presenting them well, and called GV Prakash’s music one of the film’s biggest highlights.

He also highlighted an interesting coincidence. Srinivasa Mangapuram is releasing on July 30, the same date on which his debut film Rajakumarudu was released. Mahesh recalled that he, Allu Arjun, and Ram Charan were all launched by the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies banner and wished Jayakrishna and Rasha similar success.

However, Mahesh’s absence from the pre-release event has sparked discussion. Many fans expected him to attend in person, considering it was the acting debut of his own nephew. Instead, he chose to send only a recorded message.

Industry buzz suggests Mahesh is following an agreement related to Varanasi, under which he is reportedly avoiding public appearances until the film’s promotions begin.

Still, not everyone is convinced by that explanation. Some within the industry believe it is unlikely that director SS Rajamouli would object to Mahesh attending a family event for a couple of hours, especially for the debut of his late brother’s son.

This has fueled further speculation that there could be another reason behind his absence. However, there is no official explanation or evidence to support such claims.
